Imagine a time of year when the waves are particularly high in a coastal surf town...

On one specific day, the seasons largest wave rises up carrying over 500 riders with it...

Now imagine these riders are on Longboards, skating through downtown Toronto.

The Board Meeting is a day of stoke, shared experiences and enjoying life with those like minded.

The Board Meeting 2010 has come and gone, what a day it was.  Thanks to a few dedicated, longtime members of our longboard community, this memorable event has been captured properly.  Jonathan Nuss has worked closely with Longboard Living over the last year actively displaying his photos from Board Meetings past.  The shop hosted a Board Meeting photo exhibition showcasing images from the last 9 years of the event.  He created photo books, framed photos and most of all kept the memories alive in the minds of all people who have participated and introduced it to those who have not.

Some of Jon's photos are posted in the LL Riders section of the Longboard Living site for you to see.

Upon request, these photos can be printed in any size and shipped anywhere.

A small group of dedicated people have made sure this day will be full of stoke.  Sometimes that requires serious swag and printing things like flyers not to mentioned endless hours of organizing a smooth running event.

There are a limited set of 100 shirts available before the ride and at the Longboard Living booth at BIG UP THE BLOCK PARTY.

Proceeds go towards event organizing costs.

Through the lens

It has once been said, that all photographers should ride a longboard. Well, we are saying it now. The reason is because a board takes you further than your feet alone, allowing you to view any city from different angles and perspectives. You are able to cover more ground and capture more neighborhoods, the beauty of a side street in the city or expose your lens to some evening traffic. Here are some recent shots taken while longboarding in Toronto.

In honor of longboard photography and a special Toronto Longboarding event - the Longboard Living Gallery will be hosting a photo exhibition with photography from the 2003-2009 Toronto Board Meeting by Jonathan Nuss. The event will take place May 7th at 7pm with a skate session to follow.
